This july my boyfriend and I went to Paris – my favourite city of all.
The wedding season has officially arrived. In august I will be attending my first wedding party as an adult. I’m excited and of course already thinking of what to wear! Paul Fredrick who designs smart fashion for men asked me to share my thoughts and tips on how to dress when attending a wedding.
In terms of the men’s dressing my go-to shirt colour is definitely white, anything from crisp to off-white goes. I’m not so much into striped of patterned shirts for this occasion. And without doubt a long sleeve, a short is too casual. In the choice between a three-piece or a two-piece suit I think it depends on the colour. Choosing black or dark blue allow you to wear three-piece whereas the lighter and brighter the suit is in colour the more simple the compilation should be, so go for a two-piece when wearing light blue, grey, grey blue, sand, etc. Also there’s nothing wrong with pinstriped suits as long as the cut is spot on. I live in Copenhagen, Denmark and of course the overall style among both men and women is the classic simple Scandinavian look. Though being a capital you’ll occasionally see men wearing more ‘mottled’ attires.
Last friday my love and I went shopping and we ended our spree in Weekday where I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks. I’ve earlier sworn that I’d never wear those particular sandals but recently the style has grown on me. I like to mix feminine, sporty and practical pieces and I know these white Arizonas will add a good contrast to my more delicate summer wardrobe. In addition I simply adore this photo of a very young Kate shot by Corinne Day. The styling is bang on!
Some weeks ago we took a walk to Cisternerne in Copenhagen. It’s a huge former water reservoir now functioning as a show place for multiple things within the creative world. The underground halls constitutes a natural urban stalactite cave and the talented artist Christian Lemmerz really understood how to take use of the certain atmosphere the place exudes. His massive candlestick orgies were overwhelming yet endearing.
When I saw these beauties in a vintage shop downtown Copenhagen I immediately fell in love. I have been looking for a black gladiator sandal for a while now since my old ones from Vagabond are totally worn out (had them since I was 14!). I’m so thrilled with these, they are made of the softest leather and I love how the straps gather in golden rings. Also my first YSL footwear, yay!
